Kiev ranked among the best cities in Europe for shopping tourism by version of Economist Intelligence Unit (EIU).
Although he took only 27th place out of 33, but was able to get around such cities as Warsaw and St. Petersburg. London took the first place in the ranking, the second - Madrid, on the third - Barcelona.
According to the EIU, Kiev shops are open longer and more often than in other cities, they offer a discounts. But even with their view, the prices in the capital's shops is higher than in many European, say retailers.

Developers from Plovdiv hope that local authorities will buy new unclaimed apartments.
Slavcho Atanasov, the Plovdiv Mayor, considers a possibility of buyback of 500 properties which were offered for sale but couldn’t attract buyers.
Plovdiv Municipality started the campaign to sell apartments located at the panel-block buildings of Communist times to tenants recently. Proceeds will be spent on buyback of 100 new apartments, which will be given to people in need.

According to specialists of Bulgarian Properties Company, in the first six months of 2011 property prices of Black Sea Coast have decreased by 5%, while slump of 10% was recorded in 2010. Residential properties fell in price more than by 50% since boom times, SETimes reports.

According to specialists predictions, recession in developed economics of the world will continue till the end of 2009.
GDP of the USA probably will be falling during 4 quarters what could be the longest decreasing since 1947. In fourth quarter of the current year decreasing could be 4,3% , when month ago it could be 3%.
GDP of Great Britain in fourth quarter 2008 could fall more than 0,8%. Decreasing could continue as minimum till September 2009 and growth will be small.
The law about anti crisis actions in construction adopted 16.12.2008
Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine adopted the legislative № 3354 “About anti crisis actions in construction of property”.
The purpose of adopted legislative act is stabilization of construction area, providing citizens with rights who need state support.
In accordance with article 2 the state support of construction of property which is made by payment of state 30% from the cost. Other part of the payment should be done by citizens who concluded the contracts of construction and got property with state support – for their own means or mortgage.
Prices for property in Spain back to rates of 2006 16.12.2008
In a period from November 2007 to November 2008 the property’s prices in Spain decreased on 7,8%. For the moment the prices for Spain property is back to the level of 2006.
If compare with rate which was reached on December 2007, when it was a top of Spain property, fall was huge – for 11 months prices fell on 8,8%
The biggest fall was in coast regions – 8,5% for the last 12 months. Prices for property on Balearic Islands and Canary Islands fell on 8,4%, what increased on 3% the rate of previous months.

Economic crisis brought to close the third of the real estate agencies of Odessa, which took second place after Kiev, by the bulk of sales on the property market.
According to the words of president Association of realtors of Odessa and Odessa region, Igor Efremov, there were about 200 agencies, where 30% stopped working. Decreased the number of departments. The number of transactions of purchase and sales decreased on 70%.
The president of association suggested to sign the Memorandum about cooperative work, how to pass the crisis.
Tokyo is the best city for investments in Asia 9.12.2008
Tokyo was named the best Asian city for property purchase. According to research of organization Urban Land Institute (ULI) and agency Pricewaterhouse Coopers it is connected with small financing risks.
Among 20 cities which were in research, the capital of Japan has better perspectives on 2009 and less risks. Second place goes to Singapore, on the third place is Hong Kong. Hoshimin (Vietnam) is the best market of office and trade property and also living property in the flat segment.

For November 2008 Crimea is a leader in the rating of cost of cottages. In average 10 sq. ft. in cottage here is cost about 4027 dollars. The maximal cost in Crimea is fixed in the complex “Chernomorskiy” – 20000 dollars per 10 sq. ft.
An average cost of 10 sq. ft. in Kiev cottages is 3600 dollars, in Kiev region – 1989 dollars. The less cost of sq. ft. is fixed in Chernigov and Rivnenskoy region – in average 800 dollars.
